The article is confusing. It looks like the anti-masker attacked the pro-masker, but I may be wrong.
The mask lover gave the other man the finger, then lunged at him and stabbed him. All premeditated.
You may be wrong. I dunno.
But Williams stabbed Huynh.
So there.

I agree, the article is written poorly.
I 'believe', that a pro-masker stabbed, and killed, a man who was not wearing a mask - because the stabber believed the stabbee was an anti-masker (no evidence of such a belief - other than the stabbee was not wearing a mask).
I agree with others comments - the primary cause is that the stabber was mentally insane. But I'll go ahead and blame CNN for driving him insane.

Seems to one guy that the account being given is this: Man Karen peacocks in front of his Karen wife by confronting unmasked man about his lack of a mask. Umasked man flips Man Karen off. Man Karen is not sure he saw it right. Man Karen asks unmasked man to clarify what the gesture was. Unmasked man confirms that he, in fact, flipped off Man Karen. In response, Man Karen kills unmasked man.
