Republican lawmakers are coming to the defense of Sen. Tim Scott after he faced a torrent of racist responses from some Democrats to his rebuttal to President Biden’s first address.
Speaking to Fox News Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called the smears against his GOP colleague “disgusting” before slamming Democrats and Twitter for allowing a racial slur to trend.
“Tim is a good friend, and he understands the miracle of opportunity that is America, that there’s no nation in the history of the world that has enabled so many people to start with nothing and achieve the American dream,” the Texas senator began.

IBT republican hate. bush league republicans, etc., etc.
His defense?
He was being slandered, he didn’t commit a Crime.
This Country is frigging nuts.
Dems: “Y’all gets those feets movin’ on back down to dat Dem Plantation, or else.”
That’s a shocker! Maybe the NCGOP can come to the defense of Mark Robinson!
All Congressmen and Senators have their own web page. I don't know why they can't just issue press releases and video clips from it. In fact, there needs to be an social media site of sorts for all elected officials where they can post what they want, streaming videos, podcasts, live chat, whatever - and bury the scumbags at Twitter/You Tube/Facebook.
So Cruz, lose the F beard and start something like this. (Cruz is not a beard guy, he looks like a bum).
Don’t be surprised if Scott is selected to be someone’s running mate in 2024. Heck, even Trump might pick him.
“Republicans Come to Tim Scott’s Defense Amid Racist Attacks”
A good sign as it tells me that these Republicans, at least, have chosen to NOT listen to their mostly-gay consultants who were telling them to stay away from this issue because it is ‘divisive’.
Yeah he did. He voted to certify the election, along with unlimited voter fraud on January 6th. And he met with St. George of Fentanyl's family yesterday.
Then for sure I won't be voting.
It would be nice if something happened to Cooper.
Since Gov. Roy Cooper wants to be Senator next year, our side could run a two-prong approach. If Cooper runs and wins the general, that leaves “scary Trump Republican Robinson” as Governor (which might give pause to a lot of Dems in the state), so we can exploit that fear by encouraging them to “keep Cooper as Governor” (a la Ben Nelson in Nebraska in 1996 when he ran for Senator against Chuck Hagel, fresh off a landslide reelection victory for Governor in 1994. The NE GOP exploited the fact his more left-wing Lieutenant, Kim Robak, would become Governor if he won).
