Houston police uncovered dozens of people trapped in a home on Chessington Drive after responding to a reported kidnapping call, authorities said Friday.

Police said they received tips Thursday that prompted an all-night investigation that eventually led investigators to the home on Friday.

"When we got into the house we realized that there were over 90 people inside," Assistant Chief Daryn Edwards told reporters.

Seriously, though...usually, once in America, the Southern American types that come go to their families or similar. Plus, children are usually included, especially where there were 90 people. My thought it, this is not trafficking, but smuggling, and most likely, Asian. They seem to have the smuggling thing down pretty good. Bring them here, have them work off their debt in salons (nail & massage) and liquor stores.

I recently went to an Asian run nail salon with the girlfriend. While there, the girl working on my pedicure mentioned something about dinner. They spoke broken english, but from what I could tell, it was one asking the other what was for dinner. The second person indicated that a 3rd person in the salon was making it. Not a giveaway. Could be a family for all I know that owns the place. But I have heard of this being typical of smuggled Asian folk from others who have worked with them.

Maybe something, maybe nothing, but again, I wouldn't be surprised.
