Most of Israel’s adult population has been vaccinated at this point. Out of 41 new cases, only 4 were in people who were vaccinated. Sounds like people who aren’t vaccinated are catching it at a wildly higher rate. Sounds like the vaccines are doing a good job preventing most cases of it.

Would like to learn more about how the 37 unvaccinated cases progress versus the 4 cases in vaccinated people.

4 (vaccinated) out of 41 is 10%. Assume 150 million in US are vaccinated; 15 million of them could catch the new strain; however, during the J&J vaccine trials conducted during the peak in South Africa, none of those vaccinated that still acquired the virus required hospitalization.

Over half of the 41 cases are non-Israeli foreign nationals.

They may have been vaccinated with one of the notoriously less effective (and occasionally counterfeit) Chinese vaccines.
