Twitter’s stock was down more than 11% in after-hours trading on Thursday after the company released its first-quarter earnings, missing on user growth expectations and providing lower revenue guidance for the second quarter than expected. [snip] Twitter’s total number of monetizable daily users grew by 7 million from the fourth quarter to 199 million but fell shy of analysts’ expectations of 200 million. The user base was up 20% compared with a year ago. The quarter marked Twitter’s first period mostly without the presence of former President Donald Trump after he was removed from the service following the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

What’s Twitter?
What’s Twitter?
The Curse of President Trump strikes again! Can’t wait to see how it strikes Sleepy Joe once reality settles in for him and Kameltoe.
I REALLY hope they go out of business.
Twitter is one of Trumps’s biggest mistakes.
He helped make it famous, then they cut him off without warning. I remember touring the WH with my grandson in 2017 reading tweets from Trump basically in real time.
20-20 hindsight but he should have established social media that was bulletproof from the deep state.
Broker sees short open long close. Sell high buy low.
Twitter user base is half that when accounting for “bots”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I deleted over 3000 tweets and logged out for good. Total BS to ban conservatives. Don’t miss it.
Once Trump starts his own platform, millions will migrate over to that.
They banned me but don’t give me a way to delete my account, so the actual active user base is waay below 199 million.
Get woke, go broke.
““Metcalfe’s Law” says that a network’s value is proportional to the square of the number of nodes in the network. The end nodes can be computers, servers and simply users. For example, if a network has 10 nodes, its inherent value is 100 (10×10=100). Add one more node, and the value is 121. Add another and the value jumps to 144. Non-linear, exponential,
growth.”
In other words, a 20% decline in users would decrease the value of Twitter by nearly 40%. It’s like a huge force-multiplier for boycotts.
Die Twitter, die!
Growth is unsustainable when you turn away 50% or more of your customer base for their political persuasion.
I read this on Gab.
Same with me.
So how many of those 7,000,000 new users are bots ?
