I believe the point here isn't that democrats didn't cheat. It's that Democrats were able to get away with it because the Libertarian candidate muddied the waters sufficiently for it to work.
Third parties cost us elections.

And people still talk about 1992, when Ross Perot got 19% of the vote, and may have tipped the balance in some states to Bill Clinton. I’ve heard arguments on both sides of that one, some saying Perot siphoned enough votes from George HW Bush to elect Clinton, and some saying Clinton would have won anyway.
I agree, third party or independent candidates can be spoilers, as presidential elections are winner take all in the electoral vote in 48 out of the 50 states.

Except he didn't. There is documented evidence that massive fraud occurred. Counts, video footage of ballots being inserted, counting ballots suddenly stopping etc etc.
