A federal grand jury has charged three men with hate crimes and attempted kidnapping in the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery in February 2020.
Travis McMichael, 35; Travis’s father, Gregory McMichael, 65; and William Bryan, 51, have each been charged with one count of interference of rights and attempted kidnapping, while the McMichaels were each charged with using, carrying and brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence

Ridiculous! I’ve watched the video numerous times.
The lead prosecutor in the murder case just quit, so I suspect things are not going well there. You don’t quit a murder prosecution with national attention if you think you’re going to win. This is the kind of thing a prosecutor lives for.
I guess this is Plan B.
The defendants are more concerned about Georgia’s Plan A than they are the Fed’s Plan B.
Was this the prowler who tried to take a shotgun away from somebody and ended up getting shot?
Sure, but at least they have a chance to beat the murder rap. Beating the feds will be much harder.
Yep. But the prosecution claims he was just out for a run, and decided to look around inside the house. Either way, grabbing a shotgun someone is holding on you, while someone else is covering you with a pistol, is pretty much guaranteeing you will be shot by one or the other.
I'm not a lawyer but I'm going to guess that things may hinge on whether the McMichaels were legally justified in attempting to make a citizen's arrest in this instance.
Seeing as they called 911 before they pursued Arbery, it's hard to claim they INTENDED to kidnap him. Whether they were within their rights or not, it would appear they intended to hold him for police. Of course this is the feds, so if they indict the men, there's about a 98% chance they will make a plea deal or be convicted.
Yeah, guilt or innocence appears to be of no consequence anymore, especially with the feds.
A significant amount of black-on-black crime and injuries or death from defiance of authorities could be avoided were black mothers to demand that their boys pull their pants up and wear a belt.
Here for an idiotic response to the “Pull up Your Pants Challenge” : https://www.inquisitr.com/1445680/pull-up-your-pants-challenge-blames-black-males-for-police-profiling/
Author claims that cops treat blacks differently when they have their pants hanging off their asses: “why does the choice in clothing dictates [sic*] how law enforcement responds to its community of people they are sworn to protect?”
[* that’s straight from the copy and pathetic for it]
Simple answer: it’s not the police response to the fashion style, it’s the bearer’s actions that are reinforced, encouraged and triggered by the pants-around-the-ass “choice in clothing”.
The reason is the same as to why Dorian Johnson claimed that Michael Brown said, “I don’t have a gun, stop shooting!” (which morphed into “hands up don’t shoot”): peer pressure and ghetto, “snitches-get-stiches” culture. Some false witnesses actually testified that Brown was merely “pulling his pants up” when he was shot by Office Wilson. Gee, I wonder why they claimed that?
Like a uniform, the no-belt, pants-around the-ass prison outfit requires its wearer to act a certain way. It’s simple “respect your uniform,” which in ghetto culture means act like a thug.
If it were not, then why do the more successful urban/ghetto schools require kids to wear uniforms?
Of course not everyone wearing “sagging” (to repeat the euphemism) pants commit crimes or resist arrest. That’s an incorrect reduction ad absurdum and generalization fallacy the author makes, saying that “Ironically, Professor Hill, at 16, sported low-hanging trousers, which doesn’t appear to have doomed him to a life of thuggery. Moreover, he pointed out that Caucasian students at his Ivy League school did so as well.”
Not everyone respects the uniform, and many others replicate uniforms informally. But the uniform begets the mindset and, in this case, is a significant contributor to criminal behavior.
No, it’s not. Criminal behavior, though is, and “sagging pants” is a very meaningful representation of criminal behavior.
Clean cut H.S. photo. Great physique. A few years later and he looks like he is on drugs, joggin' and robbin' while wearing a winter coat in 70+ degree temps. What causes this abrupt change, and in so many young black men?
[while wearing a winter coat]
Yeah, I noticed that too.
Ask his father.
Oh, that might be a problem.
UNREAL!!! This nation is now run for the exclusive benefit of black criminals. It pains me to say it but avoid black people. Thanks to the democrat party we can not live among each other any more. It’s just not worth the risk trying.
Why does taking action based on empirical observation your brain God gave you tells you to do to stay alive or protect your loved ones “pain you to say it”
I’ll tell you what pain folks is when decent black people tell you they prefer the company of white people and to live amongst us
I have black associates who say precisely this...in fact it came up today when he and I were discussing the prom cross dressing incident in Franklin TN where I live....he lives in Hendersonville....nice area too...few blacks
They are ashamed of how most blacks people act
And they want better fo their kids....and they know the path to that goal doesn’t lie in keeping it real.
Nah
I’m not sorry to call sorry when I see sorry
Hate is a Motive, it isn’t a Crime.
Hate Crime is Thought Crime thus making it Unconstitutional.
It pains me to say it because I never worried about such crap when I grew up around black people in my neighborhood. Now... I am afraid to even be around my grandfathered black friends even as they lament the state of the state of race relations the democrats have created. Sure my old friends may be fine, but they have family that buy the democrat lies.
Is this the one where the “victim” was stealing from construction sites (housing)?
(The “jogger” that ran in boots?)
