Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is emerging as the chief obstacle to quick passage of President Bidenโ€™s $2.25 trillion infrastructure package that Democrats want to move through Congress sooner rather than later.

Can someone point to an actual vote that passage was on the line for the Dems that Manchin went against? He’s all talk.

Manchin is a Democrat. He always has and always will vote “Democrat”.

When will Republicans learn this?

What Manchin SAYS is 99.999999% of time pure Kabuki. Probably holds the record for votes contrary to his prior statements.

I doubt Manchin would be Arkancided. West Virginia's governor and legislature are Republican, so if Manchin were to go, the seat would go to a Republican, giving the Senate a 51-49 GOP majority.

My big worry is that this guy is pretty much all that is standing between us and 4 trillion dollars of crazy spending. He’s not a reliable roadblock.
