I’ve always said that people deserve the politicians they elect. And as a result, they deserve the cops that “protect” them.
I’ve been fortunate enough to live normally in normal American communities with nice normal cops.

Like Chris Rock said, it’s one of those jobs where everybody has to be good. You think American Airlines is like, most of our pilots are good, we have a few bad apples that like to crash though.
In all seriousness, 20% being “jerks” is 20% too much.
To protect and SERVE should have meaning. If you can’t be a decent human being to the people you serve, GTFO.
