[Unarmed black 3-year-old shot dead, BLM is silent]
Police are searching for an unknown suspect after a young boy was shot and killed at a birthday party in Miami over the weekend.
The Miami-Dade Police Department said its officers responded to a Shotspotter on Saturday night at around 8 p.m. ET. The gunshot detection system directed officers to a home in the Golden Glades neighborhood, where they found 3-year-old Elijah LaFrance suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Black Lives only matter when shot by White Cops.
Sure to be all over the national news just like the 9 kids shot at a birthday party in Louisiana. 60 people present, none would make a statement to the police . . .
The MSM and BLM take away from this article will be “Are gunshot detection systems racist?”

Too bad it wasn’t a privileged white toddler. ( sarc.)
What a shame it was a little black boy.( sarc.)
This according to BLM critical race theory.
You have to parallel think like ‘em to fight ‘em.
I hope they catch the perp. and he dies in a friendly fire incident. ( see what I mean?)
Hint: there is ZERO chance the perp will be White. So no media frenzy, no hypocritical yelling by politicians, no riots.
Why I know longer care what these people do to eachother.
What a culture.
In my entire 67 years I’ve never been concerned about any children being shot at a birthday party.
But then, mine is a different culture - a culture that does not mix with this one.
“The Miami-Dade Police Department said its officers responded to a Shotspotter...”
LOL...I’m guessing these Shotspotter systems are only put up in areas that experience a lot of gunfire. They don’t actually install them UNLESS THERE’S A NEED. For example, because of my white privilege, there aren’t any Shotspotters in MY neighborhood.
Did anybody even pick up a phone and call this in to the po-po?
You should see the house: looks a lot nicer than mine!! The place is pretty nice even though the neighborhood can be rough....
Whoa...you’re right. I watched the video...that was not your everyday ‘hood. And the house was pretty well shot up. Somebody “stayed & sprayed”....not your ordinary drive-by. I wonder what the backstory is...
Poor kid.
“Shotspotter”?????????????????
Is that a drycleaner where you take your blue dresses?
BINGO. 32 kids this year https://wreg.com/news/doctors-32-children-treated-for-gunshot-wounds-in-memphis-this-year/
NEARY EVERY 24 HRS IN MEMPHIS. Black dad shot young black son, only made Memphis news, with no mention of Race. 2 shot last night, hubby turns on the TV now for the Weather, then turns it off.
There is quite a list of cities on the Shotspotter website... most of which you'd expect to see due to crime statistics. IMO, this is one of the reasons why Democrats are so firmly opposed to firearm suppressors; they know that so-called "silencers" may not completely muffle gunshots - but they make these acoustic detection systems much less effective.
As for use of this technology in "privileged" neighborhoods, rest assured that it's coming. They're just using the live-fire zones of the blue cities to sharpen the technology.
Then rented the house via Airbnb for the party, probably in a nice neighborhood
The Shotspotter system will send out an automatic alert to reduce the time delay of someone calling 9-1-1. Its a pretty amazing system. It triangulates the sound to pinpoint the location where it came from.
That’s a big reason I like to visit FR...all of the additional information that I learn from other posters about these tragedies.
Thanks!
“But then, mine is a different culture”
I identified with that as soon as I read. Among the several cultures in different countries I’ve lived in, I’ve seen cultures where police patrolled the streets carrying machine guns. It’s better here, but I stayed away from the cities when I found a place to retire. I like the culture here.
