Not in public schools. States require that the children get varying sets of vaccines to attend school. No vaccine, no school. Most parents vaccinate the kids or, in the case of CT, 7,000 get a religious exemption.

I don't know of a state where the "thanks but no thanks" provision applies, though I'm sure there are several.

On the positive side of that that should drive more parents to find alternative schooling to public schools. The teacher's unions have already done a pretty good job of that.
