I don't know of a state where the "thanks but no thanks" provision applies, though I'm sure there are several.

On the positive side of that that should drive more parents to find alternative schooling to public schools. The teacher's unions have already done a pretty good job of that.

Yup—herd immunity is somewhere in the 60% to 80% range—there is just _no_ science claiming mandatory vaccinations are anywhere necessary.
And—with a disease with death rates lower than heart attack and cancer.

I did a little research for Texas. The traditional general vaccines are indeed mandatory for children entering public school. But there is an exemption allowed for objecting parents for any reason. In other words, you don’t opt in, you opt out.
It’s obscene they’re going after children.

This might sound crazy but I think lice is much more of a problem than kids catching something just because some may not be vaccinated.
