People in India are dying in the streets amid a catastrophic surge of COVID-19 infections — prompting an oxygen shortage and mass cremations to deal with the overwhelming amount of bodies.
“The virus is swallowing our city’s people like a monster,” said Mamtesh Sharma, an official at the Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat crematorium in Bhopal.
Sharma said the unprecedented crush of bodies has forced them to skip individual ceremonies and rituals that are Hindu traditions.

We’ve done this already when the media used videos in China at the beginning of Covid. They were old videos from previous years. Not falling for the fear porn again.
Probably not related. Other than the ‘morgue’ . The videos in China at the beginning were found to be from different unrelated issues years earlier.

Of course lots of people said to wear masks. However, even early on (April/May 2020) we had plenty of data showing that outside the risk of transmission was nearly zero. So a mask outside makes no sense.
In fact, the only thing we know today about transmission that we didn’t know in May 2020 was that if an infected person spends a really long time (typically hours) in a small enough space with poor ventilation, aersolized transmission is possible. This has implications for enclosed spaces where people spend hours at a time, like restaurants, movie theaters, classrooms, etc. Those places need to ensure they have good ventilation. But there’s a mountain of evidence demonstrating that if you’re indoors around a crowd of strangers, masks reduce the risk of transmission by reducing the range and volume of respiratory droplets.

People can suffer from “ walking hypoxia’ where they do not feel shortness of breath despite their blood not being oxygenated enough to sustain their organs. That’s why covid home health care suggests having onhand a pulse oximeter and heading to the ER if you have covid and your levels drop below about 94

Not really. The efficacy numbers from clinical trials suggest a 95% reduction in severe illness. The real-world data from Israel suggests a 95.5% reduction in risk of infection.
So take a population of 100 million. Assume 80% of them would eventually become infected without vaccination. That’s 80 million infected. Take that same population of 100 million and vaccinate them. Now we reduce that 80 million infected by 95.5% and we find 3.6 million who become infected and 76.4 million who do NOT become infected. But that’s still 3.6 million infected expected per 100 million in your population.
The smallpox vaccine is only 95% effective. We wiped out smallpox with it. As in, it doesn’t exist on planet Earth anymore. And nobody has been vaccinated for it in decades, because it’s gone now. Same will happen with polio in the next couple of decades. We’ll cut those four shots off the vaccine requirements too because polio will be eradicated from Earth.

India is not china. People in India are taking photos and videos and posting them on the net. People who did that in china were rounded up and never head from again.

I have read reports some treatments are not working anymore since the virus mutated. Maybe India has one of those strains in this breakout.

is it then your studied opinion that similar numbers of vaccinations in a place like India would yield a like result...? we know that the Israeli population is a very small
cohort compared to India, and has a considerably higher standard of living...there is also the likelihood that different cultures have differing health outcomes due to largely unknown factors...
and if you believe this, and if India is undervaccinated, how is it corrected...?
