Gavin Newsom to Phase Out Fracking in 2024, End Oil Extraction in California by 2045

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) announced Friday that he would end new permits for hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) in 2024, and would ask state regulators to explore ways to end the extraction of oil entirely in the state by 2045.

Newsom’s statement confirmed earlier reports about his decision to end fracking, which contradicted his claim last September that he could not end fracking in the state through executive action alone, and would need the legislature to pass a bill:

It won’t be any problem to get the Sacramento communists to enact legislation that bans fracking. But he may run into constitutional problems if he tries to prevent extraction activity on private property. And by that point it will be zero net emissions.

Isn’t Newsom going to be phased out in a recall election?

Maybe. But probably replaced by some other weirdo. Either another Rat or some fake conservative. These things that are “leading” us are nothing more than an insane mafia.

California once was what America represented in so many ways in exceptionalism and greatness . Now it represents parts of American rot and decay. It always made me feel sad to hear that all societies will eventually die or fade away. I never thought the USA would get to this point this quickly.

Newsom will be out of office soon, and hopefully in jail. By 2045, I hope he will be long dead and forgotten.

Sick, sick, sick man and enemy of America. No wonder he was elected governor of California. He stood for everything the communists wanted in their leader and policies and you can now see what they want to do to the rest of America.

Saying it will end by 2045 isn’t exactly bold. Would California even have oil left by then - they’ll have been pumping pretty heavily for 150 years or more by then. Without fresh capital or incentive (and who would put fresh private capital into any sort of industrial economic activity in a Rat-infested state unless you’re a government crony) there probably won’t be much left to pump.

They already can’t keep up with current demand; let’s see how that works out for CA.

Then again, with the rate at which people are fleeing the state, they might pull it off.

“Perhaps State’s that generate electricity for California can explore ways to cut them off.”

Nevada would be wise to set up much excess electrical generating capacity. They could then sell the electricity to California at exorbitant prices.

I just received a couple a hundred dollars in a gas well royalty here in SW Pa.

I'm starting a T shirt business and my press just blew a relay ... NOW replaced because I don't have to wait until the 3rd for my SS check.

And I'll gas up both vehicles as well ... and I STILL have all my SS check for normal life expenses.

This has been going on for about 8 or 9 years.

The governor proves by this moronic proposition that anyone who invests in California’s future must be crazy.
