A major political dispute over the results of last year's presidential election in Maricopa County is developing, but, for now, the audit sponsored by the Arizona State Senate Republicans will continue.
A Maricopa County judge ordered a pause after state Democrats filed a lawsuit to block the audit.
The pause would have been from 5 p.m. Friday until noon Monday, but the Arizona Democratic Party will not post the $1 million bond as requested by the judge.
In a statement, party officials said in part "the fact of the matter is that no one knows the actual cost of this sham audit and President Fann and the Cyber Ninjas have not once made this figure public."

Dominoes, anyone? No, not pizza.
Ha! The Rats can’t put their money where their mouth is!
Well, well, well! What, do we have a buncha cheapskates here?
Maybe its time for them to get outa town? Vegas, New Mexico,... California! Yeah, go join the homeless at Venice Beach. You don;t want to be here, in Maricopa County, in the coming weeks.
Soros has that much in the left pocket of his golf shorts. Step it up, boys! Treason is an expensive game. :)
Finally something goes our way.
Exactly, there are four investigations going on right now. If fraud is found in these investigations, it will force more investigations. Maybe the eff'n RINOs in PA will grow a backbone and start fighting, but I'm not counting on it.
They can buy plenty of firebombs for a tenth of that million, and hire some nut to deliver them. Remember St. Louis.
I’m surprised they didn’t pay it. They have a lot to lose.

I’m gonna wait and see. With democraps, nothing is ever done, or not done, without considering all their options, and future avenues of attack.
They have something up their sleeve.
JMHO, your mileage may differ.
If audits give states to Trump will he have to call out the Army to remove Joe ? LOL
I’m also surprised. Chump change when you consider the stakes.

Perhaps they’ll use that money to buy some intimidation (or cooperation) of the workers.
I don't think the audit meets any requirement to effect the election outcome, nor provide evidence for any legal action. I also doubt "Cyber Ninjas" has enough credibility to convince anyone that hasn't already decided their position, nor do they have any expertise in election systems or auditing. I have to question how the hell the AZ GOP couldn't find a more reputable firm to conduct the audit.
Why would Dems want to stop the audit of a fair election?
$1 million , this is just pocket change with all the money Nancy stole for them
