U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s silence on questions about her Boston property and whether she is charging rent during the coronavirus pandemic is becoming deafening.
Pressley is one of the leading progressives in Congress but all too often just refuses to respond to non-softball questions — following the Elizabeth Warren school of public relations. One of the latest examples: A press release and press conference last month from her and other members of the “Squad” — Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Rep. Rashida Talib, D-Mich. — announcing they were re-introducing the “Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act.” What Pressley doesn’t mention in the lengthy press release is that she and her husband are landlords — or used to be.
They have two units on Blake Street where they live. They bought the condo for $615,000 two years ago, and rented out one of the units for $2,500 a month, according to the Washington Free Beacon. According to her financial disclosure form, she received $15,000 in rental income in 2019. As a member of the House, Pressley earns a healthy $174,000 a year.

I can’t stand any of the Squad members.
But, if her tenants are paying, I don’t see why she should refuse rent.
She wrote a bill to cancel rent. She also tweeted out many times “cancel rent”
If liberals didn’t have double standards they would have no standards at all.
Bet you she rented to a white family
Share it fairly, but don’t take a slice of my pie!
I will also bet on that!
she stinks. As DJT would say, “what a nasty woman”.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ...
Everyone in her district who voted for her deserves a good hard slap, and then some.
She could nail the doors and windows shut and burn the properties down with the tenants still inside, and the partisan media shills would say nothing.
The 'press' sucks.
