I recall another Freeper remarking not long after the 2018 tragedy that they remembered that area back in the 1960s and ‘70s had all sorts of Air Force and NASA personnel living there and it was a very much conservative and upright sort of populace as a result. In recent years, it apparently got filled with all sorts of New York and Chicago transplants who brought their corrupt Democrat politics with them.

Also a lot of people cam to Broward from Chicago and other Blue State urban centers.

You may be confusing Brevard County with Broward County.
Broward County is Ft. Lauderdale, Brevard is Titusville, where the Kennedy Space Center is.

I work for a woman who’s daughter in law just ran for a local seat in Parkland in response to the corrupt Democrap scum who allowed the shooting to happen. She lost to some lawyer, but she may run again.

Broward hasn’t been a GOP stronghold since the mid-80’s. Bush I was the last GOPer to win in ‘88.

I had Grandparents we used to visit in Ft. Lauderdale back in the late 60’s early 70’s. It was still O.K. but the riff raff kept moving in forcing those with means to move to W. Palm or further North.
