That’s actually bad news.
Whatever his policies and how democratic his elections were, he was the biggest, most reliable force fighting Islamists in Africa. Not just in Chad, but in the whole region.
For small subsidy, he send Chadian forces to everywhere in North Africa, always ready to fight ISIS and other extremists.
E.g. Chad forces were the only one able to control Nigeria’s Boko Haram.
It may now require US to get involved directly?!
Who knows what will happen, but it does not look good.
