Coca-Cola, whose CEO denounced the Georgia voting bill, is now striking a conciliatory tone after coming under pressure from conservatives.
The soda giant, which is based in Atlanta, was absent from a list of more than 500 corporations and individuals that signed a statement condemning any election legislation that would “restrict” voters from having “an equal and fair opportunity to cast a ballot.” The missive was placed as a two-page Wednesday ad in the New York Times and Washington Post, with the effort being organized by the Black Economic Alliance.
Coca-Cola said in a statement to the Washington Examiner on Wednesday that the company “had not seen the letter” initiated by the alliance but is “certainly open to hearing their perspective." It said it has supported the right to vote and that it will assess how to support voting rights.
“We believe the best way to make progress now is for everyone to come together to listen, respectfully share concerns and collaborate on a path forward. We remain open to productive conversations with advocacy groups and lawmakers who may have differing views," the company said. "It’s time to find common ground. In the end, we all want the same thing – free and fair elections, the cornerstone of our democracy.”
Coca-Cola’s Wednesday remarks are notably less confrontational than its previous statements on the Georgia voting law.

as the townspeople in “Blazing Saddles” collectively said in one scene, “BULLSHIT”. Coke has gotten its ass kicked in business-wise (we are boycotting it) for their craven cowardice in supporting Georgia base BLM, an avowed Marxist extortionist, rioting organization.
Also, they may not want anyone such as myself, to do some real journalistic research on their policies which showed a caving in to the Marxist left on at least one earlier occasion, when they appointed one of Castro’s top propaganda/future terrorists recruits to their Board of Directors.
Google “Johnnetta Cole and Venceremos Brigade”, and see if anything interesting comes up, esp. a Human Events weekly news story about this and even a Washington Star or Washington Times editorial.
Cole was a hardcore Marxist, affiliated with Communist Party USA fronts and causes, “Revisiting Marxism” journal (along with Pete Buttigieg’s avowedly Marxist father, Joseph), and the leader of the KGB/Cuban DGI-created “Venceremos Brigade”, the recruiter of “cane-cutters” from the US Left, including SDS/Weathermen and Vietname Veterans Against the War in Vietnam. Many came back to the US as skilled guerrilla warfare/bombers, esp. WUO members.
Let me know if you find anything on Cole’s red background in the mainstream media or only from the few conservative publications who uncovered her background when Coca Cola appointed her to their Board of Directions (she was the head of Spelman College at the time, 1980s). Ironically the head of Coke at that time was a Cuban refugee who should have known who she was and should have rejected with all his power her being named to anything then outhouse cleaner.
I drank Coca-Cola and bourbon all my life. I now drink Pepsi Cola and Bourbon.

I do remember “new coke” and it was just a stupid marketing move.
This virtuous attempt to “deemphasize whiteness” insults and offends me and no doubt a substantial number of their employees and customers as well. I hope it hits their bottom line.

The Right may boycott, but the Left destroys. Coke circles back, enrages the Left, and will pay the price. They’ll choose survival over profit and try to pander to the Left again. At least they can rightly claim that they were just pretending to care about Conservatives.

Add the relatively new brand, AHA sparkling water to your list.
First thing to do is to fire the azzhole chairman who made this dumb statement and remind his successor to stick to the purpose of the company which is selling sugar water at a profit to benefit the stockholders.
