An Open Letter to John Kerry from People Living in Energy Poverty

Dear Mr. Kerry,

I write to you from India, a country you visited recently. Before I share my thoughts about some of your policy recommendations to my nation, I would like to mention a small note: When you ran for President in 2004, your pictures appeared in the local newspapers in India. Sitting in a remote, underdeveloped part of southern India, as a young high school student I wanted you to win that year. You did not, but I was hopeful that you would make it big in politics, and you did! Congrats!

However, 16 years later, I cannot help but send you this letter of disappointment. You see, back in 2004, when I was supporting you to win, India was way behind in the development index. Electricity, especially, was a luxury. 350 million people in India were without electricity. The U.S population in 2004 was around 292 million. So, literally, you had more people in India without electricity than the entire population of the U.S. Imagine young students like me being unable to study for our exams because power blackouts after sunset were more predictable than water supply in our taps!

The Kerry and Biden solution is to bring India’s entire population here. Republicans will go along with it because “our values” or something.

Please, Mr. Kerry, leave the developing countries alone. If you cannot help us, do not hurt us by preaching the climate gospel.

Please, Mr. Kerry, leave America alone. Go back to commie Vietnam and stay, you eff'ing POS.

That is too simplistic. The author of this excellent letter has it right. Kerry’s solution is to live the life he wants, siphon off wealth of America to achieve “climate salvation”, and to give little thought to the well-being of people in the third world.

Energy is the fuel of progress. Having liberal elites of immense wealth like Kerry dictate to the citizenry of the world how or when they can use affordable energy is disgusting.

Every nation in the world should have the right to use the real energy that is available of their own making/choosing. It is a proven fact that the best thing for the environment is wealth. Wealthy nations are the cleanest nations when it comes to the environment. Abundant and affordable energy is the fuel of wealth.

If I were a citizen of India, having some botox shriveled New England elitist try to dictate what resources are available to me in the name of a globalist religion would make me very angry.

Don’t worry Vijay. You can work in the John Kerry lithium mines where you won’t need electricity to swing your pick axe.

Or to the Limpopo river and dwell there. POS should have been court martialed back in the day for his Christmas eve foray into Cambodia. :-)

Fault your leadership, Vin.

"Global Warming" and "Climate Emergencies" are First World problems. Kerry is the epitome of global elitistism. He and Gore, the Bushes, et al, have nothing in common with the poor guy in India. In one month, John Kerry uses enough electricity to power a rural village for a year—Kerry's multiple homes, ski lodges, and tropical beach get-aways, Kerry's myriad of monster vehicles, Kerry's private jets, and globe hopping—I guarantee you that Kerry uses enough energy to power several villages in India for a year.

Electrification was a godsend to rural America. A lot of FReepers are old enough to remember using the old battery powered farm radio and kerosene lamps. It was not that long ago that families had ice boxes instead of refrigerators. America has been there, done that. Why deprive the poor guy in India of simple necessities which we Americans can only now take for granted?

“Climate emergencies” are luxuries only for rich elitists and their minions. For them, the rest of the world be damned by this elitist, blasphemous false religion.

Put a sock in it, Vijay! Videos have surfaced recently from Al Gore and John Kerry that the entire Arctic will be ice-free in 2015 and folks will be swimming and snorkeling in this area. No fossil-fuels for you!!

Vijay, Kerry and his crew don’t give a damn about you or your country. You needs to wise up.
