...Las Vegas has completely reopened.
Masks are still mandatory, even outside, and the "science" of mask wearing is as nuts as it is around the country.
You have to wear a mask when you enter a restaurant. But the moment you sit down you can take it off. Then a food server wearing a mask takes your order.
If you get up and go to the restroom, you have put your mask back on. Then you return to your table and can take off the mask.
It doesn't make much sense to me - scientific or common.
Maybe Dr. Fauci can explain how the virus can't get you when you are mask-less at your table.
Last week the mask theater at our hotel pool was even crazier.

“maskarillas” DOH!
Watch food servers walking around always adjusting thier bacteria collectors on thier faces. They then put your plate in front of you with those same unwashed hands.
“Maybe Dr. Fauci can explain how the virus can’t get you when you are mask-less at your table.”
Thankfully, the science is now settled. Thus, we have no need for scientists any longer. Maybe they can learn to code. :-)
Biden’s EO is being interpreted and sold to customers as “Federal Law” by the airlines, who seem poised to make mask mandates permanent, just like the security theater imposed after 9/11.
The maskerbators Cannot simply accept the fact they do nothing —far too much emotional investment
All of the touching of the mask and putting it in your pocket or on the table or someplace else also is unhealthy.
If it is to protect against contaminants it should be thrown out when it is removed and replaced with a new mask.
Down the road, we may be seeing a surge of lung infections brought on by mask-wearing.
Until the mask mandate is lifted, I’ll be avoiding las Vegas like the AIDS virus.
Masks are Government mandated Binkies for Adults.
It used to be racoon eyes when you came back from a ski trip. Who knew right?
Congratulations, Manuel OKelley!
You have captured the essence of this insanity in just 15 words.
Bravo.
Nothing like trying to breathe through a mask when it’s 120 degrees.
I live in rural Florida and people don't cotton to the government telling them what to do. Stores around here in our small town still retire masks because the county commissioners (non-medical "experts" who feel that they have to do something....anything, to look important) but patrons and customers in the main don't wear them.
Why? because the county can fine the businesses but not their customers so the businesses just let their customers do what they want. Restaurants are open 100%, as are other businesses. I went to the big city yesterday to get some cattle feed and the Rural King I went to said nothing about me and many others in the store without masks, even thought there was a sign of the front door saying they were required.
The silliest (or stupidest) rule I've heard of is out of Ohio I think. High school sports were opened back up, including wrestling. Wrestlers could roll around on the mats for 6 minutes, groping and grabbing and wrestling their opponents sweaty bodies, but they were not allowed to shake hands with each other after the match was over for fear of spreading the virus.
This kind of absurdity is why I think people are frankly, tired of all the mandates and rules imposed by those who just want to control them.
Stanford study quietly published at NIH.gov proves face masks are absolutely worthless against Covid

FTA: According to the current knowledge, the virus SARS-CoV-2 has a diameter of 60 nm to 140 nm [nanometers (billionth of a meter)] [16], [17], while medical and non-medical facemasks’ thread diameter ranges from 55 µm to 440 µm [micrometers (one millionth of a meter), which is more than 1000 times larger [25]. Due to the difference in sizes between SARS-CoV-2 diameter and facemasks thread diameter (the virus is 1000 times smaller), SARS-CoV-2 can easily pass through any facemask
