The jury hearing the case against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin soon will get the case amid the chaos of news conferences, protests, and riots happening outside as PJ Media reported.
Every day, jurors pass boarded-up windows, step past the fencing meant to keep out rioters and looters, and walk the gauntlet of National Guard troops and armored vehicles to make their way safely into the courthouse to listen to another day of testimony.
The jurors’ faces have never been shown on the three-camera video feed from the courtroom, not even during jury selection. No one knows who they are unless either they’ve told someone or an observer has stood near the secret door where they come in and out every day.
Who are these 15 people chosen to be jurors and alternates in this highly-charged case?
Generally speaking, they’re younger and more racially varied than most juries in Minnesota.
Hennepin County is 17% black or multiracial and 74% white. Half of the jurors chosen in the case are non-white. The jury of 12 jurors and three alternates is made up of three black men, one black woman, and two self-identified “multiracial” people with the rest of them white. Two of the black male jurors are immigrants to the U.S.
They are a decidedly younger jury than usual. Ten of the jurors are under 50 years old, one is in his 20s, and five are 50 or older with the oldest being in his 60s.
One juror is a cardiac nurse, which is an interesting choice considering so much of the evidence in the case has to do with Floyd’s heart and lungs and she may rely on her own knowledge instead of the evidence put forward by medical experts.

I’d prefer a White man in his 60’s.
The jurors are NOT “safe” from today’s cancel culture fueled by Big Tech, BLM, and Antifa.
Some friends in the Twin Cities are saying the jurors have to drive through the burned out zones to get to the court house.
I treat that as a rumor, but it could also be a way to send a message.
You left out CNN and MSNBC the 2 biggest race baiters in current society
Riots in Minneapolis are going to happen regardless of the verdict, but if the jury acquits him, all hell will break loose and you can bet the Left will find out who these jurors are and dox them....if I were them, I would leave town for a significant amount of time....
If they come back with a verdict of something less than murder, all hell will still break loose.....
The most serious charge Chauvin is facing is 2nd degree murder and that could carry a life sentence.....the only thing that might tamp down the violence a little is a 2nd degree murder conviction and Chauvin being handcuffed and hauled off immediately.....
If Chauvin is convicted, I think he suffers from the “Epstein” treatment in jail...and doesn’t survive long. .
I predict acquittal and nationwide rioting.
In a sane world these jurors should be sequestered.
At least that would be Justice.
Based on the evidence you are correct....
After yesterday when the judge threatened to declare a mistrial over prosecution misconduct and then backed down, I predict a conviction on something followed by an automatic appeal with the conviction overturned or a new trial is ordered....
Riot will start and the question then is will Chauvin get put on trial a 2nd time...
90 days in jail, suspended sentence.
If one wants the jurors to remain safe, one might think twice before asking who they are.
I worry about Derek Chauvin. He was considered guilty of murder in the media and by politicians immediately after the video was released last year. The fact the jury has the racial makeup it has is disturbing.
“No one knows who they are...”

BLM/ANTIFA, names and addresses already in hand, already licking their chops to take out “wrong choosing” jurors.
Jurors should be questioned by Judge if they fear any harm coming their way depending on verdict. Not likely to happen (ie. Judge asking this question), but everyone knows they do (fear). They all do.
Not if the jurors vote the wrong way. The media (and thus Antifa and BLM) probably have the names, addresses, and other personal information of the jurors.
The defense team took part in voir dire. They did their job.
I’m surprised a cardiac nurse is allowed on the jury.
I’ve heard they often excuse people with medical knowledge from cases where there is personal injury, or as in this case, legal arguments over the precise cause of death will determine the outcome of the case.
Justice???
That is a farce in this country anymore. It has devolved into a legal game played out in the court rooms of America.
