“including April 20 and a couple of days after”
Okay, I am clearly NOT in the know here... I see the ominous April 20th date coming up periodically in posts but I have no idea what it represents. Can someone enlighten me?
April 20th is supposedly a “deadly” day in human history. Ominous things happen on April 20. Examples are the Columbine massacre on April 20, 1999. Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889. President McKinley declared war on Spain on April 20, 1898. The Bay of Pigs disaster ended on April 20, 1961. The NASA shooting happened on April 20, 2007. The Irish Protestant-Catholic conflict reached 1,000 deaths on April 20, 1974.
Several other high-profile murders, explosions, plane crashes, and conflicts around the world began or reached grim milestones in mid-April. Timothy McVeigh blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1996. The Waco disaster happened on April 19, 1993. An explosion on board a US navy warship killed 47 on April 19, 1989.
I think it’s the anniversary of Columbine. Also the “pot” day. Also Hitler’s birthday.
Pick one. Ha ha.
If you google deadly events on April 20, you will see a ton of articles chronicling all the major events over history that have occurred on or around April 20.

The BP Deep Water Horizon Oil Rig blew up on 4/20
The government murdered the Branch Dividians on 4/19
