I think the use of “anonymous sources” should be illegal.
 The argument has always been that if you do that people won't come forward with any information that could get them in trouble. I do agree that something needs to be put in place where all sources should be registered with an unbiased third party and penalties should be there if the source turns out not to be telling the truth. How you could pull that off I don't have a clue. 
 Like it or not, the current state of "journalism" has proven they can't be trusted to do the job correctly or honestly so some changes are going to need to be made.

Current situation: journalists make stuff up and publish any damn thing they want. They push a Narrative that has nothing to do with reality, and the population believes all the lies.

If anonymous sources were illegal, I suppose people won’t come forward with any information that could get them in trouble. And then journalists would have less to publish, and the population would be uninformed.

That’s a Win.
