Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) said officials plan to lift the state’s mask mandate soon but did not indicate when it will happen.
He made the comment during an online event with the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth, according to CBS Boston.

I think a lot of younger people love wearing those stupid things. How else can you explain a 22 year old running alone in a park with one on? Do they crave carbon dioxide?
I wicked dog dare you.
I was a child of the 60s and I remember hearing about places in the South where black people could not eat at a restaurant counter because they were black. There were "whites only" signs and only whites could shop at that shop or drink from that water fountain.
Now we have "masked only" stores.
That is discrimination.
“Do they crave carbon dioxide?”
I think they crave electrolytes.
Spot on. There as an extremely popular online game called "Fortnite", aimed at pre-teens and teens, that was huge up until a year or two ago. Most of the characters, or avatars, wore some type of mask. This was LONG before COVID. So they got conditioned to wear masks. That's part of the reason why they took to is so easily.
Very interesting and disturbing about the fortnite conditioning.
Soon? Like, two weeks? Yeah, that’s the ticket: two weeks.
The grocery store I go to (Stop&Shop) has a "greeter" at the door, said person makes sure you have a mask on, if you don't there's one woman in particular who will literally chase you all over the store while yelling, miss, miss, sir sir, you need a mask, (the other greeters don't care!) Anyway, I don't cover my nose, I don't believe in these stupid masks, anyway, I went into said store a few weeks back and Karen happened to be the greeter....(I've been going to this particular store for at least 15 years and this is not the first time this woman has seen me walk in with the mask below my nose, but I digress) she followed me through the produce section saying, excuse me, excuse me, why do you bother wearing a mask? I turn around and ask her if she would prefer I don't wear one at all and she actually said yes, why bother, I was taken aback, I expected a different response, soooooo, I took it off, walked around the store, checked out and no one, no one said a damn word, I was stunned to be honest, I thought for sure some other Karen would say something, but, nope, no one said a word.
They really ought to take down the "Mask Required" signs and put up "Masked Only" cuz they are discriminating.
The thing is, the store I went into is a nation-wide chain and I have spent at least a couple thousand dollars there over the years.
I can do better on Amazon, cuz when I order stuff and when the guy comes and delivers it, no on requires me to put on a mask.
Our idiot Maine governor will, of course, state that NH will go full pandemic and order us Mainers to wear 10 masks 24/7 to protect us from the NH menace.
I saw some idiot young kid driving around in a car by themselves with a face diaper.
Not “wicked soon”... “righteous soon”!
What rebels these punks are....not
you mean mass-holes?
That is discrimination.
Choosing to wear a mask or not is not the same as an immutable characteristic as skin color. "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" signs are not discrimination against any group since the person who is turned away can come back later wearing those things and be welcomed in. How are masks any different?
so why not have just ended it right then?
I go in the Tom Thumb grocery stores in Dallas with no mask. I emailed the company to ask when we will have the freedom to choose not to wear. The reply was that they encourage wearing but don’t mandate. No one has said a word to me. I think it would be different at Whole Foods and Central Market.
I didn’t mention that it was a young guy in a fast sports car. What a pathetic weiner.
There is a picture floating around of a guy riding a motorcycle. he has on a t-shirt, shorts, flip flops and no helmet -- BUT he is wearing his Mask!
