Our industry cannot find people to work and manage projects. These kinds of systems are not apps nor cool. But without them governnents and companies cannot operate.
I am retiring and can find no way to pass along 4+ decades of knowledge and wisdom.
My problem is the new intrusion in my world with that phone and laptop.
It never stops.

Same thing happened in DH’s defense contractor’s company — one of the top in the country — over ten years ago before he retired from there. They resorted to hiring older retired ex-employees as they were the only ones with a work ethic.

Hubby thought the same thing. Then he realized his employer was more focused on social justice than protecting the country and producing anything serious. It helped him.
