BTW as I type this it is thundering and lightning out there. Right now the lightning is to the Southeast but there's rain in the area.
And, Gizmo hid under the bed last night due to lightning. Dogs get scared of those things.
Here is what one of my friends got for my birthday.
We didn’t need jackets or sweaters to begin with but by 9:30 or so we were all putting them on. It was 57 degrees when I came home so it was cool but not too bad.
No choklit cake but she did bake some delicious choklit-choklit chip cookies. We were celebrating three birthdays so she had some small cupcakes from a grocery store. I brought one of those and some of the cookies home to Hubby since he didn’t get to go. He spent the day draining the water heater here and at the old house, then replacing the one here with the one from the other house. Poor guy didn’t have a good day. He went to bed right after I got home and I reckon his treats will be breakfast in the morning. LOL
I wish I could have caught a weather report today. They might have changed our forecast to cooler temps. I’ll catch the early morning news and weather in less than 2 hours.
Glad you’re getting to enjoy some cool more weather for a bit. It won’t be long before it’ll be a thing of the past.
Well, I guess choklit-choklit chip cookies are a darn good substitute for choklit cake. I wouldn’t complain. Actually, now I’m hungry for choklit. LOL!
I’m trying to enjoy the coolness so I can remember it when it’s 100 degrees and can’t sleep at all. Ugh.

I hope some of the rain moves over your area ...... even though it will mean you’ll have to mow again real soon. LOL

They were an excellent substitute. I’m having a hard time not going to the kitchen to snag Hubby’s cookies right now. LOL
Don’t think about the heat that lies ahead. Just enjoy the cool you have now as much as you can!
