A former local official in Florida indicted in the Justice Department investigation that is also focused on Representative Matt Gaetz has been providing investigators with information since last year about an array of topics, including Mr. Gaetz’s activities, according to two people briefed on the matter.
Joel Greenberg, a onetime county tax collector, disclosed to investigators that he and Mr. Gaetz had encounters with women who were given cash or gifts in exchange for sex, the people said. The Justice Department is investigating the involvement of the men with multiple women who were recruited online for sex and received cash payments and whether the men had sex with a 17-year-old in violation of sex trafficking statutes, people familiar with the inquiry have said.
Mr. Greenberg, who is said to have met the women through websites that connect people who go on dates in exchange for gifts, fine dining, travel and allowances and introduced them to Mr. Gaetz, could provide investigators with firsthand accounts of their activities.
Mr. Greenberg began speaking with investigators once he realized that the government had overwhelming evidence against him and that his only path to leniency lay in cooperation, the people said.

Until really proven guilty in a court of law, my position on Gaetz is that he is innocent. I have no reason to say anything negative about Gaetz. Greenberg, on the other hand, is probably being given plenty of incentive to say a lot of negative things about Gaetz. And the truth may not enter into that at all. Probably doesn’t.
The actual story. They wrote Gaetz name on a dry erase board. They surrounded his name with every close associate, relative, worker and friend. Each name was assigned a couple of agents to conduct an anal probe. Financial, campaign law, affairs, women or boys, dope, etc.
When they found something on one guy, they told him there was ONE way only to avoid prison...
tell them something cool about Gaetz.

Greenberg sounds more like a frame-up guy than a wing man.
They want Gaetz. They will let Greenberg off with a slap on the wrist if he lies his ass off.
I won’t believe a damn thing written in the NY Slimes, sourced or unsourced, because most of it is fed to them for nefarious reasons that have little to do with justice or it is simply not true. In other words, the NY Slimes just makes it up. When I get to see actual evidence, then I will make a determination. Until then the media is never to be believed.
No sense reading anything from NYT usually just fake news waste of time no reason to decipher their crap.
The DOJ or whomever probably made it very clear if he did not implicate Gaetz things would go very badly for him.
