Irrelevant....the “kid” (already charged with felony weapon possession) was NOT complying. Had he been, he’d be alive today. That’s the whole story - not the cop.
So, let’s say your grandmother doesn’t comply with police commands. Does that mean it’s okay if police shoot her?

From my perspective, any cop on that scene was incompetent. They did everything wrong
What’s really weird is she was on for 26 years. It’s not like she was in any imminent danger from the thug, she had tons of big guys there with her.
To paraphrase Massad Ayoob, she got tunnel vision completely. She waved that Glock around at all the other cops and I’m surprised that she didn’t either empty them mag on all of them or at least hit another cop.
