Oh, yes..."surviving"...like spending days, even weeks, deathly ill in bed - far more pleasant than getting stuck with a needle, because they "survive." Spending time in the hospital or ICU - far more pleasant than getting stuck with a needle...because they "survive" the ordeal. Severe lung damage as bad someone who smokes for 50 years...far more pleasant than getting stuck with a needle because they "survive." Getting double lung transplants...far more pleasant than getting stuck with a needle because they "survive." Permanent disabilities of varying degrees...far more pleasant than getting stuck with a needle because they "survive." Etc., etc., etc.
And what is the percentage of the cases you are quoting now after many therapeutics are already saving lives? Not worth emergency use vaccines on the entire populace to make everyone feel good about themselves.
I’m not old enough to remember, but were people this scared of the Smallpox vaccine? That left a lifelong scar on everyone.
This seems to me to be something that started in the last 20-30 years with the rise of the internet and everyone being an expert on every topic.
