When HR1 Passes, We’ll Need a Fair Elections Amendment

In The Lord of the Rings, wicked Sauron forged the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom: “One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.” Well, that’s HR1 all around, isn’t it?

On D.C.’s Mount Doom, aka Capitol Hill, America’s necromancers -- Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer -- are fashioning one national election law -- an evil ring of red crystal to bind us all. In restless dreams, I see donkey after donkey trotting out of a dark Capitol, each jackass a Democrat victory on the shadowy path of elections yet to come.

Once HR1 passes, the Fifty Rings of Freedom, cast by the Constitution, will dissolve into thin air. When that happens, our only hope will be to forge a new Bell of Liberty and let its loud, resonant peal crack Hell Ring One asunder.

In short, we’re gonna need an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. HR1 will overrule all state election laws, but a constitutional amendment will overrule HR1. It will be difficult to pass, but if we fashion it out of fairness and integrity, it can be a winning issue for most Americans, not just Republicans, and a banner around which to rally.

Here are some ideas for this Fair Elections Amendment:

Section 1. All regular elections for federal offices shall be restricted to seven consecutive in-person days ending with the first Tuesday in November. Special elections shall likewise be restricted to seven consecutive in-person days. All ballots must be received by official voting places by 11:59 PM on the final day of the election.

Oh yes, and Sarumon has an orc army too, because controlling all three branches of government is not enough.

When HR1 passes, you’ll get nothing and like it.

More x-ray vision hindsight from merican stinker! They should have supported President Trump instead of telling him to accept the election results and move on!

This SHALL not PASS. We will never have a free or fair election again if it does.

What makes you think we have a free and fair election system now?

I question election integrity overall. I question the Corporations and Media as well as foreign money and control of media.

HR1 is intended to make sure that Government is protected from the people. That was the real threat of Trump, is the people choosing to downsize and control Fed Gov.

You want an Amendment that is effective, you need to starve the beast. Pass a
BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT with FLAT TAX RATE FOR CORPORATIONS and INDIVIDUALS. Then HR1 won’t matter, because we can’t afford the government that controls us.

A balanced budget amendment is a MANDATE for higher taxes. Without a limit on spending, any amount can be legislated and the BBA would require more tax revenue to offset the elevated spending. Better to limit federal spending to a percentage of the economy, or some multiple of the consumer price index.

HR1 passes, you can go ahead and flush this country down the toilet. Short of state’s acting on their own to counter it, which probably less than half would or will do, the game is over and the Left will utterly sake this country. Bye America, as I knew it.

HR1 is such an a abomination. I cannot believe that even some democrats do not see how destructive it is. They are about to willingly hand over the nation idiots, criminals and fools.

Posting articles like this that blather on and on about what needs to happen in future elections are like a fart in the wind. There will never be another legitimate election again in the now-defunct former USA. It’s already dead, dead, dead. It’s over. It’s gone. Face it. Learn to live with it.

If you do, then you’ll begin to accept that the only was forward for those who value their freedom and liberty is to work for state-by-state nullification, non-compliance, and secession from the illegitimate, tyrannical junta in DC.

If HR1 passes Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer for ever the names will change but not the rulings won’t.
Kill the bill what ever it takes.

We need to restore the rule of law and enforce current laws. Pretending like the problem is that we do not have laws is nothing but communist propaganda.

The communist violated criminal laws in 2020. No prosecutions. How are more laws going to change anything?

In a balanced budget Amendment, they will raise taxes, but it will hurt the economy and tax revenue will decrease. Since they have now damaged the economy by government greed, and people are paying higher taxes, they will demand decreasing government.

It’s a working feedback mechanism, and it will work to limit government.

You haven’t been paying attention to my uncle Sam’s behavior. He is busily importing people who want free stuff from government. Once they are citizens, they will be eligible bring their aging, unemployable parents into the country as prospective citizens. Those parents will collect social security, Medicare, and assistance payments - things they have NEVER paid into. My uncle is planning to break the SS system because they want to confiscate private retirement accounts “to protect them from inflation” by absorbing them into the SS system to manage on your behalf.

All the new voting citizens who are here for the free sh!+ will support higher taxes on “the greedy” and “the rich” and a balanced budget amendment will be the accelerator, NOT the brake pedal as you believe. These new people, along with the core of the democrat party will always support higher taxes, because they are irrational. We must limit absolute SPENDING by tying it to a baseline of reality not to a wishlist of “unmet needs.”

You can’t limit spending without a balanced budget amendment. We agree that government spending is the problem, that is a start. How we control government spending, and it’s eventual effects is the debate.

I believe that all of the people of the United States MUST have a stake in control of spending. The only way that happens is when we have a flat tax for everyone, and a balanced budget amendment together. The government can spend, but then they have to RAISE TAXES ON EVERYONE.
