I wonder if the reparations will be paid by the government (including tax dollars from the black descendants of slaves), or will there be some special assessment against the descendants of slave owners, or just all “whites.” Do the descendants of slave-holding Cherokee pay? Or the descendants of foreign slave owners?

For that matter, does Barack Obama, the biracial descendant of slave owners but no slaves, get reparations or pay them?

Do you have to show slave ancestry, or is the test the color of one’s skin? Maybe they can adopt the old Jim Crow “drop of blood” standard.

I can’t wait for the details to come out.

Since they are including "systemic racism" among the criteria, any black person will qualify for money, even if he or she is a millionaire from Nigeria who immigrated a couple of years ago.

Systemic racism is like phlogiston--it doesn't have to be proven. It is just taken as fact.

They already let it slip that it was to make restitution for slavery AND racism/discrimination.
