Mostly true except for the mostly and let it be added that in those instances cited it was Democrats being the racists.
The democrats are the party that used the filibuster to block most modern race equality legislation. Does the AP writing guide forbid mentioning this?
Is Klarman talking about the Democrats filibustering the first version of the Civil Rights Act in the 1950s? Is that the racist filibustering he’s talking about?

Yep. So the “racist” argument is invalid when they used the filibuster when the Republicans had the Congress.
Yeah, it's a real pain in the ass for them.
