Former NFL running back-turned-conservative commentator Herschel Walker said corporations and critics of voter ID laws should help minorities obtain photo identification to vote, coming after firms like Major League Baseball, Delta, Coca-Cola, and others criticized Georgia’s Legislature over the passage of its recent voter integrity bill.
“My grandfather today, if he was alive, would be 117 years old. He had a driver’s license,” Walker said Wednesday during a virtual event. “We’re in modern time today, and people don’t have an ID. And then I say, you know, what’s so strange about it is I have all these companies that are coming out, putting it down, ‘they don’t have ID. People don’t have an ID.'”
After multinational corporations came out to oppose the bill and after the MLB moved its All-Star game in protest, Walker asked: “Why don’t these companies that have been talking so much that want to do that, why don’t they help Herschel Walker, to help these people who don’t have an ID to get an ID?”
“Meaning, whatever we have to do, whether we have to get buses, whether we have to get other things, whether we have to go fill out the paperwork and help them to get an ID, and not keep complaining about it time in and time out, because I believe in empowering people,” he continued, according to Just The News.
“In today’s world, you have to have an ID to do anything, you know, you have certain companies that you need an ID to even get into their office, but yet, they say something different. And so I said, I believe in empowering people, meaning that let me help you to get to where you want to get to.”

If you are too stupid to get I.D., you are too stupid to vote.
Herschel just pulled a fast one on the woke crowd.
chinaVAX cards
If they can be expected to get a vaccine passport . . .
Love Herschel. Not sure if he has decided on a political career but if he does run, God give him wisdom and protection from the Deep State and the evil Cathedral.
I haven’t seen what’s involved in getting a state ID here in SC in years but last I looked the DMV will bend over backwards to help those who wanted them get one.
I have seen several man in the street interviews on this subject. Blacks are dumbfounded when confronted with the idea that they can’t get IDs.
Herschel’s looking good.
Don’t care for “identity” candidates- they’ve proven to be pathetic.
But neither do I care what race a good candidate is.
State issued IDs should be free. In New York for example it can cost up to $120 for an ID.
For all thescreaming the Dems do about ID’s you honestly don’t believe for a minute that they would make ID’s in blue states FREE do you!! One thing Red states should do immediately is start giving FREE state ID’s!! Let the blue states explain WHY they are making it harder to get ID!!!
Black GOP Rep. Byron Donalds is Sick and Tired of People Hating on Georgia’s New Voting Law
The title doesn't do justice to his remarks.
In GA they are.
Good on Herschel, but his grandfather does have an ID and is still voting.
Already have.
Most places they are free to obtain if you can’t afford them.
Why is it someone elses responsibility to get people their own ids?
This is jsut libtard people projecting black and minorities to be too stupid and incapable of getting an id.
They don’t want to solve the “identified problem”, they want the talking points to use to raise the RACISM flag high. It’s the same with the “gun problem”. They know where the problem lies and how to solve it, (stop and search), but do not want it solved because it allows them to have the gun violence as the talking point to rile up the WOKE’s.
I suspect if you picked out one single city (Pittsburgh for example) and analyzed the entire city (302,205)...out of the adult population...fewer than 200 will exist with no ID and it’ll be mostly severely handicapped or individuals who’ve been institutionalized since their teen years. Most homeless types....to get social assistance...have to have some type of ID.
We might even find out during this one-city review that a thousand people carry a second ID on themselves with a totally different name, and address.
I bet some of them use their multiple I.D.s to get multiple government assistance debit cards.
Yes, but he’s voting Republican from that grave.
Example... I've lived in GA for 20 years. As is typical for many persons, I've had numerous dealings with the local DMV office to do maintenance things with the drivers license. Frankly, to get a drivers license or state ID unrestricted with respect to voting isn't that much different in terms of documentation as getting a US passport. You've got to document 1) you are who you purport to be and 2) you are a US citizen by birth or naturalization.
