I agree masks need to end in April 2021. My point was not pro-mask, my point is cotton material masks have no history of producing lung cancer. There are more Muslims in the world than any other religion, and they have been covering entire faces with Burqa for many centuries.

These worthless scare tactics which are baseless do more harm to get rid of masks than just plain saying no to masks.

Yes, I understand. On the rare occasions where I wear a mask (e.g., going to a doctor’s appointment where they require it) I occasionally can feel myself breathing in a fragment of the mask (mine are neither cotton or N95). And, less frequently, like the complaining school kids I can feel something caught in my teeth. And the kids saying it felt like inhaling cat hair was an apt description.

The blue/grey paper masks are the ones that they seem to be talking about here. We received some “free” in our mailbox a while back, no English on the packaging at all (I threw them away).

Those type of masks do make me feel like there are little fibers or hairs on my face after wearing them for any length of time. They also really bother my nose, starts running and makes me sneeze and then later is all dried up.

Cotton or fabric masks are somewhat better, but I still have trouble with alternating running/dry nose, nose-bleeds, acne, chapped lips, itching ears; and now that it’s allergy season I am extra miserable! Masks don’t seem to filter out allergens, they just hold them in . Ah-chooo.
