Johnson & Johnson has backed off a previous pledge to deliver 24 million additional doses of its one-shot vaccine by the end of April amid the continued failure of its troubled contract manufacturer in Baltimore to win government manufacturing certification.
With domestic production of the company’s vaccine still unapproved, the government slashed its national allocation of the J&J vaccine to states by 86 percent to just 700,000 doses next week, down from nearly 5 million, a cut that Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) called “very concerning.”
The cuts will make it harder across the country for much of April to find the Johnson & Johnson shot, which some people favor because it requires only one trip to a clinic or vaccination site. The hashtag #OneAndDone has become popular among people receiving it.

Trump’s Fault™.
I will ask, again and again and again... HOW MUCH is Johnson and Johnson getting paid for these contracts that are constantly in the news? How much money for how many doses? That gets us a prices per dose. Then do the same for other nations. These are important facts that the public should be demanding on a daily basis.
Caveat Emptor (2020 version): of or pertaining to people who don’t allow themselves to be herded in an experimental vaccine by a questionable virus under dubious circumstances.
Shocking. A contractor located in Baltimore where entire high schools graduate illiterate graduates.
Diversity is our strength don’t forget!
I would be more curious how much someone paid a lab rat to screw up a large batch of J&J.
Or the kick back to shut down two J&J vaccination centers for known side affects.
The initial OWS contract was $1B for 100M doses. At 5 doses per vial, that's just $50/vial and $10/dose. Considering the delays and complications they have had, it would not surprise me if they lose money on the original contract. They might have other contracts where they can make some money. With so many of the vaccine candidates being successful, and so much product available, it's going to be tough to make a lot of money.
J&J said they would be selling all of their Covid vaccine at cost, no profit.
And that right there is probably why the other manufacturers are trying to sabotage J&J

I’m pretty sure that J & J and their partners needed absolutely ZERO help in screwing up.
