I know almost all these people and while I am not a fan of the personal Donald Trump, I HIGHLY support the MAGA side of this argument. . I made a comment on a previous thread: In Greenville GOP politics, if you aren't part of the landed gentry or a part of the right clique, you aint part. . The shunning, the back biting, if you are a Lindsey sycophant, you aint part. . One of the people mentioned on the Party side is trying to do right with the ending of open primaries, yet the people and party side they are attached to have refused to address this in SC. . Same with School Choice. . I choose the Tea Party people for that reason, plus they are much more approachable and widely support the anti-terror types I endorse. :)

Horry County GOP is no different either it’s all big mess.
We could be much a bigger player on the political scene nationally as well as the leading Red state in the Southeast against the Democratic-socialist/globalist agenda but as Race, has pointed out corruption in-fighting cliq mentality factionalism and tribalism oonall levels in the south has made it next to impossible for South Carolina to live up to the political potential that could and should be.

The quote of South Carolina being too small to be a Republic and too large be an insane asylum has a whole new meaning.

1. Many conservatives are conservative because they don’t want to pay taxes PERIOD!!!
They look at social conservatism as Neanderthalism.
2. Social conservatives believe economic conservatives aren’t conservative because they ain’t down with the Lord.
3. Many of the military-industrial conservatives are conservative because it keeps the ol’ stock portfolio flush.

What exactly are Never Trumpers running on, since Pres Trump is not on any ballot, and is unlikely to ever be in office again? His energy was amazing, but he would be in his 80s for the second half of the second term. Let the man retire, and enjoy his success. His ideals were what was important, not the actual person himself. He won't be around forever, but his ideals have to be.

So again, what the hell are Never Trumpers about? Why do they exist at all?
