What scare BS.
Deep in the article
“ admitted to intensive care with severe COVID-19”
Not the 99% who had effectively the flu.

For what it’s worth, a young woman I work with had the Wuhan during Christmas. She was very sick, but not hospitalized. She has recovered her sense of smell, but strong odors now smell ‘different’.
Anecdotal and a sample size of 1, so take it as you will, but Wuhan apparently can/does mess with you in all kinds of unexpected ways.
I would hazard to guess anyone admitted to intensive care for a serious disease of any type will most likely have at least PTSD just from the experience.
“admitted to intensive care with severe COVID-19”
Here it is in context (same phrase below).

“Anxiety, at 17%, and mood disorders, at 14%, were the most common, and did not appear to be related to how mild or severe the patient’s COVID-19 infection had been.
Among those who had been admitted to intensive care with severe COVID-19 however, 7% had a stroke within six months, and almost 2% were diagnosed with dementia.”

Hypoxia can cause more mental issues than the virus itself, yeah I agree, BUNK BS
“admitted to intensive care with severe COVID-19”
I’d be nervous too if I’d been in intensive care with severe covid... almost died...that’s to be expected!
Panic Mongers. Feh.
Wonders how this blatant propaganda piece end ended up in the Washington Times.
No, they included people who were never admitted.

Well I think the idea is if you ‘end up in the hospital with a serious case of covid’ but survive the after affects of the virus on the body can also be serious.
