United Airlines is taking a bizarre business risk and announcing to the world that it will no longer hire the best pilots available but will instead make sure that 50% of their trainees for flying you around the world will be women and minorities—talent and skill be damned. I’m not making this up. I wish I were.

Their website details this diversity commitment with more wokespeak than I can usually tolerate in one paragraph:

Skin color is the point. You see them hiring retard white pilots? Nope. Going to hire inexperienced people of color so they can make commericals on how deversity has done absolutely nothing to make the airline better or safer, just more inclusive......all the while possibly killing more minoritypassengers along the way, cuz white people aint going to be stupid enough to fly Woke United.
Dear United, I will not fly you, since you’d rather racial quotas than the best pilots available. When I fly, I want the best pilot, and I don’t care if the crew was 100% Hawaiian...

What I remember was that in a day or so I was flying out of Adak Alaska and would be taking a DC-10 for a transcontinental leg into Dulles.
I was a bit concerned.
