In the wake of Major League Baseball relocating the All-Star game, almost everyone who was calling for such a move has been backtracking—including Joe Biden, and even Stacey Abrams, who was a major voice against the recently passed election law that Democrats have been making several false claims about.
But now, sources say that Stacey Abrams was the one who convinced MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred to move the All-Star game out of Georgia.

The decision to relocate the All-Star game from Atlanta will cost Georgia over $100 million. Adding insult to injury, the game will now be played in Denver, which, as PJM’s Bryan Preston pointed out, is one of the whitest major cities in America with only 9 percent of its population being black. Atlanta is 52 percent black, meaning that MLB’s decision directly hurts black residents and black-owned businesses.
There is, however, a conflicting report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that claims Abrams actually “strongly” urged MLB to keep the game in Atlanta—but this is contradicted by her own actions prior to MLB’s decision.

Abrams will spin any narrative that gets her in front of a camera. She is the ultimate self-promoter and it is highly effective because the woketopians view her like Moses.
In this case, she inflicted a wound on her own community to further herself. In other words..... typical politician.

I know it won’t happen, but I would love to see a couple big name players decline to play in the allstar game because it has become political.
I’m beginning to think that everybody wanted to talk of moving the game, not the reality. They did not expect the game to actually be moved, the consequences are very damaging. Too bad!

Even still, the MLB people who listened to her should know Stacey has her own agenda and wants the current Gov. to look bad. They allowed themselves to be Race Baited, rushed into this and acted stupidly.

Make the pain aa sharp as possible among the black population of Atlanta. Black entrepreneurs in Atlanta were disproportionately negatively affected by this action.
You have control of Atlanta and its collar counties, you have control of much of the voting population of Georgia. Stacey Abrams never conceded the race for Governor in 2018, and in her mind, she is the Acting Governor of Georgia.
For the most part, all during 2020, much of the Republican party in the state house agreed with her.

I predict, in fact, that several key pitchers will decline the opportunity to pitch in Mile-High Denver, a park notorious for homers an wall-busting line drives. No one wants their All Star stats to be tarnished by one appearance.
So watch for guys to need some time to heal up a nagging injury, or to spend time with family.
After the election can’t really say I’m sorry for Atlanta.
