Landing on the beaches won’t be hard, there are many beaches, too many to defend. Like Okinawa, getting on the beach will be the easy part.

Taiwan is 25 times as big as Okinawa, with a population of 25 million. If they fight to the last redoubt, it will be quite a battle.

Also, Taiwan has missile assets that place the Three Gorges Dam in range.

Not really. Due to tidal flow and the rocky coastline, there are only 14 potential landing spots for invasion. Taiwan has been preparing for decades digging tunnels and bunkers in the mountains overlooking the landing zones armed with artillery, not to mention having these places mined. They also have many mobile units armed with anti-ship cruise missiles. Plus due to tides and the typhoon season in the Taiwan strait, they only have a short window for invasion, between May and June, and the month of October.
