No..he was called in after the drowning and did a respectable job of a bad situation. (I'm from Louisiana, and have relatives in New Orleans). I suspect you are recalling the New Orleans mayor (whose name I forget, and too lazy to look up) at the time.

In another tweet that still appears on his feed, Honore wrote of Colorado Republican and gun rights activist Rep. Lauren Boebert: "Put Her Stupid A-- on the No Fly List."
This guy is pissing in the wind. This is the same careless asshattery that took down McChrystal during the Obama-Biden White Hut.
Once Nancy deems this RINO swamp rat as a liability, they'll frame his ass in the MSM and dump him.

Do you thing the General would have tolerated a statement like that from one of his troops while he was still active? That kind of intemperate remark will bite him in the butt next time he’s before a senate committee. I suppose that’s why he deleted it.

Being selected by pelosi ought to tell us where the real extremism exists in the military.
I knew Russ Honore when he was a captain (O-3). He got to were he is by affirmative action. If merit was the sole measure he wouldn’t have gotten beyond major (O-4). He was pushed ahead because of so few officers of color in his year group.
I am not sure...that one may be on Governor (Dem) Blanco, or Nagin. Confiscations certainly happened, and as a result, the Louisiana Legislature specifically denied any future confiscation BY STATE LAW under any "state of emergency" situation.
"I think that the first thing you do is have an expansion of police, bringing in other police officers from cities around Chicago and the state to control the situation and maintain control in the part of the city that has the violence. And surveillance, it's amazing what happens when you put cameras on every corner. There were some other “capabilities” that were added to balance things out, not belonging to Honore.
