In late August 2009, there were reports that Honoré would run for U.S. Senate in 2010 in his native Louisiana as a Republican against incumbent Republican Senator David Vitter.

On August 31, when asked point-blank on CNN about the reports, Honoré expressed admiration for individuals who aspire to serve in public office but said that he had no plans to seek the Senate seat, as he was unlikely to win with the viewpoints he currently holds.

Lately, if someone even just hints at what anything Trump did as being bad, the person is labeled in a negative light no matter how the person was thought of before hand. This thread does not fail.

the only reason they couldn’t handle DC was the combination of Pelosi/Bowser, who both tsked tsked Trump and others’ concerns that crowd control and safety was essential. Bowser having a recently signed agreement in hand that it was her call whether to deploy national guard or not.

Had nothing happened at the Capitol, the remainder of the night would have been antifa/blm open season on the attendees, as has happened at every single republican event in the past 5 years.
