Are primary care providers in FL being allowed to distribute vaccines, anyone know?
All I know is, that Publix, CVS are leading providers. And the further north of FL you get... so is more availability..
I think the roll-out chose to focus on large retail providers and health departments for the distribution chain instead of doctor’s offices. It was viewed by the Trump administration as being easier and less prone to problems.
Not yet. Had my annual with my PCP today. They don’t have the shots, but they expect to get them in larger rollouts in the near future.
I didn’t even ask mine.......but I don’t think so
It was easier to go 1 mile up the road and get it at Publix
The hardest part was playing vaccine roulette.......
...my husband got on the computer early in the morning 4 different times....
....before I got a reserved spot
There truly is a Publix everywhere in Florida
Our local health dept and Veterans clinic does it too.....
.....long lines of cars.......you stay in the car......they check your health records and jab you in the arm
Our primary is not offering them. The counties are as well as pharmacies in grocery stores and places like Walmart, Sams Club. The old greyhound race track in Tampa is giving them 7 days a week all day just walk up. I think the county is running that.
I doubt many have the facilities on hand to do so consistently without a lot of waste.
