Publix is, I think, grocery chain with pharmacy.
Just like Kroger or Safeway in other parts of the country.
Because of political pressures, and mail order competition, pharmacies are trying to diversify, from just drug distribution, which is not too profitable any more. One of the ways to diversify is to administer vaccines.
That’s going on for at least a decade.
By now, they have perfected the vaccine administration.
It would be rather odd, if Publix decided not to participate the vaccinations, as well as, if it was not asked to do so.
They have the means and skills, the state needs vaccination centers. Nothing else!
I doubt many have the facilities on hand to do so consistently without a lot of waste.
