So the people don’t necessarily agree with CRT teaching, they are just afraid of what may happen if the state does away with it.

It sounds like the usual left wing activists, corporate style.

Here is a link to the letter with its list of supporting organizations.

The group who put the letter together say "NHBSR has a rich history dating back to the late 1980s when businesses began to organize around the issue of corporate social responsibility."

Hmm, it seems like the usual liberal organization. They have an entire effort devoted to "Workplace Racial Equity Learning" which their consultants probably don't want to lose the opportunity to earn money for.

I’m not surprised by the educational institutions ... Badger is a little puzzling, but the energy company probably thinks they’ll get something out of it.

Non-profits and yoga studios, I’d guess.

The bill only applies to companies that are engaged in contracts with the State of NH, and its requirements are totally consistent with what normal, sane people would consider to be reasonable to prevent racism and support diversity.

Here is the actual bill.

Anyone can teach their employees whatever they want, but if they chose to do business with the State of NH then they must agree in their contract that:

The contractor shall not use any workplace training that inculcates in its employees any form of race or sex stereotyping or any form of race or sex scapegoating, including the concepts that:(a)one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex;(b)an individual,by virtue of his or her race or sex,is inherently racist, sexist,or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously;(c)an individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of his or her race or sex;(d)members of one race or sex cannot and should not attempt to treat others without respect to race or sex;(e)an individual’s moral character is necessarily determined by his or her race or sex;(f)an individual,by virtue of his or her race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex;(g)any individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race or sex;or(h)meritocracy or traits such as a hard work ethic are racist or sexist,or were created by a particular race to oppress another race. The term “race or sex stereotyping ”means ascribing character traits, values, moral and ethical codes, privileges, status, or beliefs to a race or sex, or to an individual because of his or her race or sex, and the term “race or sex scapegoating” means assigning fault, blame, or bias to a race or sex, or to members of a race or sex because of their race or sex.”

In other words, you can't teach racism or sexism if you want to receive contracts from the State of NH.

I have completely reversed my views on taxing corporations and the wealthy. Raise them I say and this is just one reason why.

It is time to slam the legal system on these cockroaches. Make them pay in damages for their phony Critical Race Theory Cancel Culture. Where is the legal profession on this? Are they busy pursuing all those slip and fall lawsuits?

You got that right. I don’t agree with Mitch McConnell much but his warning about Big Tech’s aggressive and corrupting influence on the political process in the 2020 election suggests that Corporate America has taken on a whole new independent governing role in America politics without any control or restraint by the People. Even more alarming is the total takeover of our education system. The Communists have infiltrated and gained total control of the teachers unions, which are the driving force behind the wild eyed Fascists/Marxists teachers who are polluting the children with their stupid, off the wall new flavor of the month ‘theories.’ Today you cannot escape the the Commie influence anywhere in society. Just look at the medical arena and the Crazy Covid and Great Reset lunacy. Is America’s goose cooked?

The French and the British have declared CRT distorted history and poison for society. French Canada seems to be shedding their virtue signaling, too. So why would NH be worried about losing business if it’s going with the ‘new’ flow - that CRT is nothing more than profiteering off manufactured racial hatred?

Defund NHPR, and boycott all those businesses. Also, make sure the business owners can't go anywhere without being confronted. [gosh, this sounds familiar]

Were these businesses threatened or otherwise coerced to do this?

For one thing, those at the top of the corporate hierarchy are mostly liberal now, especially on cultural and social issues. It’s the values and beliefs of the elite social class they belong to, so they are personally happy to push this garbage.

For another, they fear woke SJW twitter mobs more than they fear normal conservatives, partly out of the correct assumption that normal people have lives to lead that goes beyond tweeting and threatening companies that don’t bend the knee.

If companies just ignored the mob and simply remained silent and neutral on political issues they’d likely suffer little or no financial harm, but fewer and fewer are choosing to take such a course. Maybe they think that conservatives are older, and so they’d better get in good with the more woke youth to keep a customer base for decades to come.

I don’t know, but it’s a powerful weapon in the Left’s arsenal.
