I read "To Kill A Mockingbird" in high school about 55 years ago. The film, however,is one of my very favorites and I,of course, have it on bluray disc.

I wonder how the book is seen by attendees at this "festival". Is Tom Robinson an "Uncle Tom" for having been so calm, polite and obedient? Is Atticus a Klan member for not having machine gunned Bob Euell,Mayella and the entire jury?

There could be no doubt,of course, that Boo Radley was a racist for having been so pasty white.

I too love that book and the movie. I’ve always felt that it is one of them more realistic depiction of children and how they talk and live ever written. I can never see Robert Duval as anything but one of finest actors of our time. Boo Radley was an avenging angel, in my eyes.
