Colorado voting laws are similar to Georgia's despite decision to move Major League Baseball All-Star Game Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said the decision 'doesn't make a whole lot of sense'

Major League Baseball announced that they are moving the 2021 All-Star Game out of Georgia in protest of the state's new voting laws — and it now it is reportedly headed to Colorado, which has some rules that are similar, if not more restrictive.

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that the MLB will relocate the game to Denver’s Coors Field after pulling it from Atlanta over Georgia voting laws. In response, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp addressed the situation, comparing the two states' procedures, saying he is baffled by the decision.

"Georgia has 17 days of in-person early voting including two optional Sundays, Colorado has 15," the Republican governor said. "So what I'm being told, they also have a photo ID requirement. So it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me."

Kemp also said it did not make sense to him that President Biden appeared at the NCAA championship game in Indiana and praised the state, which Kemp said was "the birthplace for the photo ID requirement."

Georgia election reform bill faces progressive backlash from corporationsVideo MLB's decision to move the All-Star Game out of Atlanta came after Biden urged them to do so.

"So hypocritial," Kemp said.

As it turns out, Colorado also requires voters to show identification when voting in person, and the state says that first-time mail-in voters may be required to include a copy of their identification with their ballot.

It’s simple.
Democrats were in the process of turning GA blue. The new law has a (small) chance of reversing that.
Colorado is already blue.

Sure it makes sense.

If you believe this is meant to keep the discussion on Voter ID and nothing else vote fraud related.

Makes perfect sense.

Who cares where they play it? There are only going to be a few thousand masked morons in attendance, and barely more than that watching that BLM sh*tshow on TV.

I am attempting to get like minded Coloradans to protest outside of Coors field at the all star game. If you are interested, lets get together and see what we can do.

I am thinking of a sandwich board with something calling on a boycott of MLB until they publicly apologize, Calling shame on them, stating the voting is MORE important than a game, etc.

Anyone thinking of pushing back on the Dem cancel culture, message me and we can get things started.

For Democrats. For MLB, they bit off more than they can chew. They did a bad job and are hurting themselves

Its not "simple". This is the distribution of population in CO (other states are similar):

The problem is whole states federal elections are now controlled by a very few dense population centers.

This is why the 17th amendment needs repealing. A state legislature would give representation to all those districts in the lesser populated areas, and a legislature picking senators would be representative of the entire state. Popular vote of senators made the Senate virtually the same as the HOR.

A GA map would yield similar distributions.

Oh, and the cheating occurs in the big cities, behind boarded up windows between 1am and 4am.

I guess we need votes apportioned in states the same way they are in Electoral college to reduce the power of the urbanites.
Like that is ever going to happen.

Those scumbags are turning “free” into just another 4 letter word that begins with F.

Here is another map, this one of congressional districts in CO:

It again illustrates the problem. A state legislature selecting senators to represent the state would likely have a senator of each party represented. But popular vote now has CO with two Dem senators.

Mob rule (democracy) is not a good thing.

Nothing makes sense for WOKE people.

Everything is too complicated for anybody to understand — so everybody should not try depending on their own thoughtfulness and thought processes — but follow whatever demagogue grabs the microphone and doesn’t want to give it back. Of course that is the Jim Acostas of the world who think everybody in the world showed up just to see him — and not the president, or even the dog catcher.

No, they are woke and enlightened and better than everybody else or the founders of this country would not have written the First Amendment just for them — exclusively, and for nobody else.

You got it. Trump did not get it. The Republican Party understood what was happening but went along because it would rid them of Trump seemingly without their support.

The Dems opened up the voting process until they had the needed votes. Now they are locking down the voting process in those areas were they hold the advantage.

Republicans are inept as a party. Wait until 2022 when the impure R’s get dumped for unelectable candidates.

William F Buckley and even Reagan said to support the most conservative candidate that can still win the election. Democrats and Progs understand it’s corollary.
