Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Monday sent a letter to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred asking if Manfred would give up his membership at the exclusive Augusta National Golf Club in the wake of the league's decision to pull the 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta to protest Georgia's controversial new voting law.

I’d like to move forward bankrupting these people, but this was a decent step for the GOP. Usually the GOP just offers up a Milton Friedman lecture about free markets or something when an American institution is trashing America.

Somebody needs to write Rubio a letter asking him to stop enticing illegal aliens with promises of amnesty.
How inclusive is the Augusta Golf Club? I would guess that it isn’t and that is why Marco Rubio brought it up.

I’m guessing they have made strides. Condoleezza Rice is or was a member. I suppose that would depend on what your definition of inclusive is. As far as I am concerned it doesn’t matter. If you are going to virtue signal and cancel Georgia then don’t sneak in the back door for a round of golf and drinks in the clubhouse. I’m also fairly sure that members gets some tickets to the Masters which are gold doubloons.
I do. If you know how to play the game, (and apparently you don’t) the trick is to get the loons screaming at him on Twitter and forcing him to give up a membership he probably doesn’t want to give up and exposing him for what he really is.

And this is why our party, and movement is in the situation situation it is. People actually think this is fighting back. Talk is cheap, when the chips are down, Republicans will run for cover, most likely with little Marco leading the way.
Agreed. Not only that, but if the American news media had any principles we wouldn’t be hearing this days later from some senator. They should have been asking that question almost as soon as the MLB pulled the plug on Georgia.
