House Republican Conference chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) slammed Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Banks’ (R-IN) memo Monday as Neo-Marxist.
Banks wrote a letter to House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in March, charging that House Republicans must embrace issues important to working-class voters if they wish to take back the House majority during the 2022 midterm elections.

Yes, I say that and I am not a squish, whatever that may be. Clearly the Dems are ... well, there are so many bad things one can say about them, it’s hard to pick out just a few adjectives!
But the Republicans are spineless, my main problem with them. And they act like girls who want to be members of the popular clique.
And I just did start reading the memo linked above, and Banks is definitely using regaining power as the reason to focus on the needs of regular working people.
I am not saying they shouldn’t—somebody should and the Dems, whatever they claim, are certainly not, but I guess I would like to see someone say, let’s do something for the good of the people of this country rather than for the good of the GOP.
I like what Banks says; I don’t like that even GOP politics has fallen to the point that he has to use the argument that the GOP should do this to regain and then maintain power.
